Why We Chose São Paulo

Brazil was always going to offer an incredible soccer experience.

São Paulo gives Empire the opportunity to experience nearly every side of it in one place.

It is a city of legendary clubs, intense rivalries, iconic stadiums and millions of people who live the game every day. São Paulo FC, Palmeiras and Corinthians each represent a different part of the city’s soccer identity, giving our players the chance to see how deeply a club can connect generations of supporters.

But São Paulo is more than a soccer destination.

The city is also known for its restaurants, cultural attractions, museums, shopping and neighborhoods filled with their own personality. Avenida Paulista, one of São Paulo’s best-known landmarks, brings together culture, public spaces and the energy of one of the world’s largest cities.

Our plan is to stay in the Jardins area, creating a comfortable and walkable home base near restaurants, cafés, shops, markets and everyday conveniences. That means families can experience the city beyond the scheduled itinerary—walking to breakfast, exploring during free time or finding dinner together after a tournament day.

São Paulo also gives us access to experiences that cannot be recreated at home.

Our players can compete internationally, explore famous stadiums, attend a professional match, experience local street soccer and then travel to the Brazilian coast for beach soccer.

Our anticipated dates place us there during the closing days of the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup, adding another level of energy to a city already defined by the game.

We did not choose São Paulo simply because it is hosting a tournament.

We chose it because the city allows soccer, culture, family travel and adventure to become part of one connected experience.

Our players will not only visit Brazil. They will experience one of the world’s great soccer cities while it is fully alive.
