Osman “Ozzy” Canales Named Head Coach of NY Empire FC ISX Boys 2017 Team

NY Empire FC is proud to announce Osman “Ozzy” Canales as the Head Coach of the Boys 2017 team for the ISX (International Soccer Experience) program. This talented group is set to represent the club at the prestigious Donosti Cup in San Sebastián, Spain in July 2026. The team will begin training in January and continue through July in preparation for the tournament. Tryouts are scheduled for September 2025.

Ozzy currently serves as the Lead 7v7 Coach at East Coast Football Club, where he plays a vital role in developing young players in the small-sided game. With four years of coaching experience, Ozzy brings a player-first approach that emphasizes technical growth, tactical awareness, and strong team culture.

“I’m honored to lead this team on such an exciting journey,” said Ozzy. “The Donosti Cup is an incredible opportunity for young players to experience international competition and develop both on and off the field. I’m focused on helping them build confidence, creativity, and a love for the game.”

Known for his passion and energy, Ozzy has helped shape one of the strongest 7v7 programs in the region. His sessions focus on skill development and intelligent play while fostering a competitive and positive team environment.

“My goal is to create a culture where kids work hard, respect each other, and enjoy every step of the process,” Ozzy added. “When those things are in place, everything else falls into line.”

With a strong leader in place and a clear vision ahead, the NY Empire FC ISX Boys 2017 team is ready to embark on a transformative year culminating on the international stage.
