NY Empire FC’s International Soccer Xperience (ISX) continued with high intensity as day two and three of tryouts wrapped up this week, showcasing some of the top young soccer talent across New York. The program, designed to build and prepare elite teams for the prestigious Donosti Cup in Spain (July 2026), is already setting the stage for an exciting year of development.

Players from across the region—representing a wide range of ages and backgrounds—took the field, each competing for a chance to be part of the squad that will represent New York on the international stage. The sessions were fast-paced and competitive, with a strong emphasis on technical quality, tactical awareness, and physical conditioning.
An elite group of coaches led the evaluation process, bringing extensive experience from professional, collegiate, and international levels. Their sharp eye for talent ensured that every player was pushed to meet the highest standard while also receiving valuable feedback for growth.
Beyond identifying standout talent, the tryouts served as the first step in a year-long training journey. Selected players will train throughout the year, preparing not only for the Donosti Cup but also for the opportunity to elevate their game in an environment that mirrors top international academies.

“Over these past two days, the level of competition has been tremendous,” said one Director of Coaching, Max Ferro. “New York has a wealth of young talent, and it’s exciting to see so many players rise to the challenge. The Donosti Cup is one of the most prestigious youth tournaments in the world, and we’re building a group that will be ready to compete at that level.”
Next Up: The second round of tryouts will take place at Adelphi University on September 14th. Players eager to join the ISX journey and compete for a place on the roster bound for Spain are encouraged to attend.
