Naeem Charles Named Head Coach of NY Empire FC ISX Boys 2014 Team

NY Empire FC is proud to announce Naeem Charles as the Head Coach of the Boys 2014 team for the prestigious International Soccer Experience (ISX), which includes competition at the 2026 Donosti Cup in Spain. Known for his dynamic playing style and passion for the game, Naeem brings a high-level professional background and a commitment to youth development that aligns perfectly with the club’s mission.

Naeem’s coaching career began in 2016 with Park Slope United, now Brooklyn United, but his trajectory soon shifted toward the professional game. He went on to compete with renowned clubs such as the New York Cosmos and LA Force, gaining firsthand experience at the elite level. Even while playing professionally, Naeem remained dedicated to the grassroots of the game, running development clinics for youth players across Germany, Michigan, California, and New York. His blend of international playing experience and technical expertise gives him a unique edge in guiding young players.

In 2023, Naeem returned full-time to coaching, joining Harborfields Soccer Club in Long Island’s LIJSL, where he currently leads both boys and girls teams at multiple age levels. His philosophy centers on building confident, intelligent players who excel technically and understand the game deeply.

"I'm honored to lead the 2014 NY Empire ISX team and represent our club on an international stage," said Naeem. "My professional playing career taught me invaluable lessons that I now bring to the next generation. The goal is not just to compete, but to inspire."

Tryouts for the 2014 ISX team will be held this September, with training throughout 2026 in preparation for the international stage.
