NY Empire FC proudly announces the addition of Kristina Gambino as Head Coach of the ISX Girls 2012 team. With a strong background both on the field and on the sidelines, Kristina brings a wealth of experience, energy, and leadership to the club’s growing girls program.

Kristina currently serves as Head Girls Coach at UST FC Academy and holds five years of coaching experience developing young athletes. As a former NCAA Rookie of the Year and current player for both Brooklyn FC in the WPSL and St. Joseph’s University, Kristina continues to compete at a high level, offering a unique perspective to her players rooted in real-time performance and leadership.

Known for her commitment to player development, Kristina focuses on technical excellence, tactical understanding, and personal growth. Her appointment marks a key step forward for the ISX program’s mission to elevate female athletes through elite coaching and a strong culture.

The ISX Girls 2012 team will train throughout the year in preparation for a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to compete on the international stage at the Donosti Cup in Spain in July 2026. Tryouts for the team will be held this September, as the program seeks top-level talent to represent NY Empire FC abroad.
“I’m excited to join NY Empire FC and work with such a talented group of young players,” said Kristina. “My goal is to create an environment where the girls can develop their skills, grow in confidence, and fall in love with the game. I’m looking forward to building something special with this team.”
NY Empire FC Coaching Director Max Ferro praised the hire, saying:
“Kristina is exactly the kind of coach we look for—someone who brings both passion and high-level playing experience. Her ability to connect with players while holding a standard of excellence makes her a perfect fit for our ISX program. We’re thrilled to welcome her to the Empire family.”
Welcome to the Empire, Coach Kristina!
